DJ!! Spin That Sh*t!!!!!

Chuckw thought about it a lot and maybe I need to take some of these far right wingers to task.
To Borrow from my favorite Talk Show Host Al Franken, Lies and the lying liars who tell them.
We will start with Rush Limbaugh:

Mr. Limbaugh Quoted the following:
"Have you seen the ratings for Friday's Nightline where they flashed the pictures of the military dead from Iraq? They are down over the previous week, significantly so, in the major markets. Imagine that. [Source: Rush Limbaugh Web site]"

Fact:"The broadcast had a 4.4 household rating in the nation's largest media markets, according to Nielsen Media Research. Although numbers for the entire country won't be available until later this week, that preliminary measurement was up 22 percent from the previous Friday and was 29 percent more than other Nightline telecasts last week. - CNN, 5/4/04"

Mr. Limbaugh:"Ladies and gentlemen, we now know why there is this institutional opposition to low tax rates in the liberal wing of the Democratic Party. It's because [low tax rates] are biblical in nature and in root. When you can trace the lowering of tax rates on grain from 90 percent to 20 percent giving seven fat years during the days of Pharaoh in Egypt, why then you are tracing the roots of lower taxes and rising prosperity to religion.... You can trace individual prosperity, economic growth back to the Bible, the Old Testament. Isn't it amazing?" Fact:"Genesis 41 is about the wisdom of instituting taxes, not cutting them. After Pharaoh had a dream that prophesied seven fat years to be followed by seven lean years, Joseph advised him to appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years...and lay up corn under the hands of Pharaoh. In other words, a 20 percent tax on the grain harvest would put aside food for use during the famine. Pharaoh took Joseph's advice, and Egypt avoided hunger during the famine. - Genesis, Bible"

Mr. Limbaugh hypocritically Says:"I avoided the subject of drugs on this program. [Source: Fair.org]" Fact:"Drug use, some might say, is destroying this country. If people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up [to jail]. - Rush Limbaugh, 10/5/93"

Mr. Limbaugh:
"But more importantly, the idea that this guy -- who didn't say anything about terrorism in his presidential campaign. For all you people that want to talk about how the Clinton administration was really tough on terrorism, go back to the 2000 campaign. Find me where Gore said anything about it. he didn't. It wasn't a big deal. [Source: Stop the Tape, show transcript]" Fact:"According to the vice president, in addition to the traditional security concerns with war, peace and alliances, his administration would expand its security focus to include not only terrorism and the international drug trade, but also corruption abroad, pandemics, ecological problems, empowerment of third-world women and children, ratification of the Kyoto Agreement, and expanding access to the Internet. - Project for the New American Century's summary of Al Gore's 5/5/00 speech"
